E.E.B.C. designs and builds high-pressure pipework and installations for technological gases, including hydrogen and oxygen, at working pressures up to 750–800 bar.
Chemical cleaning and preparation for service
A core part of the service is the chemical cleaning and preparation of the pipework for technological service. The stages are:
- Degreasing.
- Removal of hydrocarbons and particulates.
- Controlled rinsing.
- Drying.
- Verification of the cleanliness level achieved.
For oxygen service, cleaning is carried out to ASTM G93/G93M methodologies and comes with procedures, traceability and the associated technical documentation. In oxygen service, cleanliness is not a question of workmanship but of safety: a hydrocarbon residue left in the line can ignite.
